Crop, fit or stretch?
Crop to fill
Fills the exact target dimensions without distortion. Content outside the centered target ratio is removed.
Fit inside
Keeps the complete image and adds empty canvas where the source ratio differs. Best when nothing may be cut off.
Stretch
Forces the source into the target dimensions. This can distort people, products and typography, so use it only deliberately.
Useful exact-size batch crops
- 1080x1080 square images for social posts and catalog grids.
- 1080x1350 portrait posts for Instagram.
- 1200x627 landscape images for LinkedIn sharing.
- 1280x720 YouTube thumbnails.
- Consistent product thumbnails for shops and inventory systems.
Privacy and limits
The image files remain on your device while Pixsoma is processing them. Free handles 30 images per batch and 60 processed images per local calendar day. Pro and the 7-Day Pass raise the batch size to 100, remove the daily processing limit and add ZIP export, all presets, filename patterns and saved profiles.
Batch crop FAQ
Does Pixsoma crop every image to the same size?
Yes. The selected width, height, fit mode, format and quality are applied consistently to every file in the batch.
Will a centered crop cut off part of my image?
It can. When the source ratio differs from the target, Crop to fill removes content from the longer dimension. Use Fit inside if the complete source must remain visible.
Can I keep transparent backgrounds?
Yes with PNG or WebP output when the source contains transparency. JPG has no transparency and uses a white background.
Can I crop without signing up?
Yes. The free workflow needs no account and adds no watermark.
