Pick the right resize mode
- Dimensions: enter a width and height in pixels. Keep the aspect-ratio lock on when you do not want distortion.
- Percentage: scale every image by the same percentage, useful for mixed dimensions from one camera or export.
- Preset: choose an App Store, Google Play, social-media, marketplace or web output. Crop to fill creates the exact preset size; Fit inside preserves the full image.
- Format: convert the batch to JPG, PNG or WebP while resizing. Transparent sources are placed on white when exported as JPG.
- Target file size: Pro searches for the highest usable quality under a maximum such as 200 KB and may reduce dimensions when quality alone is insufficient.
Useful bulk image workflows
- Prepare a product-photo folder for Amazon, Etsy, Shopify and eBay.
- Convert a PNG export folder to smaller WebP files for a website.
- Create portrait and landscape screenshot sets for App Store and Google Play.
- Reduce documentation images before adding them to a PDF, knowledge base or presentation.
- Apply predictable filenames such as
{name}_{w}x{h}before handing assets to a client or team.
Bulk image resizer FAQ
How is the 60-image free allowance counted?
Processed images count toward the browser's local calendar-day allowance. You can divide them into two 30-image batches or use smaller batches until the total reaches 60.
Does local processing make Pixsoma slower?
It removes upload and download transfer time, but encoding still uses the device's processor and memory. On a modern desktop, ordinary web and product images usually process quickly; very large camera files take longer.
Can each source image create several sizes?
Yes. Pro preset chains produce multiple selected outputs from each source. This is useful for store screenshots and multi-channel campaigns.
Can a batch keep transparent backgrounds?
Yes when exporting PNG or WebP with transparency support. JPG has no alpha channel, so Pixsoma composites transparent pixels onto white.
